Job Overview
The Senior Investment Analyst will be a cornerstone of our wealth management and investment division in the Nkongsamba region. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling and valuation analysis for various asset classes including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends and geopolitical developments that may impact investment portfolios within the African market.
- Prepare comprehensive investment reports and presentations for the executive committee and high-net-worth clients.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to ensure all investment strategies adhere to internal compliance and regulatory standards.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and potential risks to optimize client returns and minimize capital exposure.
- Provide expert advisory services to institutional clients regarding asset allocation and portfolio rebalancing.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and statistical software.
- Strong understanding of global capital markets and local Cameroonian financial regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data to stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinking capabilities with a focus on long-term value creation.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg Terminal, Excel VBA, and Python for financial analysis.
Education
Candidates must hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or ACCA are highly preferred and will be considered a significant advantage during the selection process.
Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in investment banking, asset management, or equity research is required. Proven track record of managing complex financial portfolios and delivering successful investment outcomes is essential for this role. Experience working within the African banking sector is a plus.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 850,000 SSP to 1,500,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and performance during the interview process.
