Job Overview

The Supply Chain Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing end‑to‑end supply chain processes, ensuring product availability, cost efficiency, and high service levels across Unilever’s distribution network in Cameroon. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze demand patterns and develop accurate forecasts to support inventory planning and production scheduling.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rate, inventory turnover, and order cycle time, providing actionable insights to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams to align supply plans with market demand.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain bottlenecks, recommending process improvements and technology solutions.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain digital tools, including ERP and advanced analytics platforms.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma projects, to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Unilever’s sustainability standards, focusing on waste reduction and carbon footprint minimisation.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
  • Knowledge of supply chain concepts, including demand planning, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset for identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt will be considered favourably.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 2‑4 years of experience in supply chain analytics, demand planning, or inventory management within the retail or consumer goods sector. Experience working in a multinational environment and exposure to African markets is highly desirable.
