Job Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Forensic Audit Specialist to join our Forensic & Integrity Services team in Douala. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting complex financial investigations, identifying fraudulent activities, and assessing compliance risks for our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex forensic accounting investigations, including asset misappropriation and financial statement fraud.
- Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify anomalies and potential indicators of fraudulent activity.
- Conduct interviews with key stakeholders and witnesses to gather relevant information and evidence.
- Prepare comprehensive, high-quality forensic audit reports detailing findings and recommendations.
- Assess clients’ internal control systems and identify vulnerabilities that could facilitate fraud.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of forensic accounting principles and fraud risk management frameworks.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and forensic software (e.g., SQL, ACL, or IDEA).
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English or French.
- High level of professional integrity, objectivity, and ethical standards.
Education
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or CPA are highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of five years of professional experience in forensic auditing, internal audit, or external audit within a reputable professional services firm or corporate environment is required.
