Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Associate to join our clinical operations team in Douala. In this role, you will play a critical part in the design, execution, and monitoring of clinical trials in compliance with international standards and local regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor clinical trial sites to ensure compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct pre-study, initiation, routine monitoring, and close-out visits at investigative sites.
  • Verify that patient safety, informed consent, and data integrity are maintained throughout the trial lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with investigators and site staff to resolve queries and ensure timely data entry.
  • Prepare comprehensive monitoring reports and follow-up letters for each site visit.
  • Manage clinical trial supplies and investigational products at the site level.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and local regulatory frameworks governing clinical trials.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with medical professionals.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic data capture (EDC) tools.
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel frequently to trial sites across the country.

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline from an accredited institution.

Experience

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Clinical Research Associate or in a clinical monitoring role within the pharmaceutical or CRO industries is required.
