Job Summary

Yaoundé Central Hospital is seeking a highly organized Hospital Administrative Officer to support operational and administrative functions across departments. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of professional experience in hospital administration or healthcare office management and will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and coordination abilities.

The Administrative Officer will be responsible for managing hospital documentation, coordinating departmental communication, overseeing administrative workflows, and assisting management with operational planning. This role is essential in ensuring efficient administrative support for healthcare professionals and improving patient service operations within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily administrative operations and office management within hospital departments.

Maintain accurate patient records, hospital documentation, and administrative databases.

Coordinate meetings, schedules, and communication between hospital management and clinical teams.

Prepare administrative reports, presentations, and official correspondence for senior management.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and administrative procedures.

Assist with staff coordination, HR documentation, attendance tracking, and employee records management.

Support procurement processes by monitoring office supplies and administrative resources.

Facilitate communication between hospital departments to ensure smooth operational workflow.

Assist with hospital projects, operational planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

Maintain confidentiality of patient information and administrative records in accordance with healthcare policies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in healthcare administration, hospital office management, or similar administrative roles.

Strong knowledge of hospital administrative systems, records management, and office procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hospital management software systems.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and coordinate with multiple departments effectively.
