Job Overview
The FinTech Product Manager will lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of digital banking products, from ideation and market research to launch and post‑launch optimization. Reporting to the Head of Digital Banking, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams—including engineering, design, compliance, marketing, and operations—to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of Cameroon’s digitally savvy population. This role is pivotal in driving the bank’s digital agenda, enhancing customer experience, and achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for FinTech solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and customer research to identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
- Prioritize features using data‑driven insights, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead product launches, coordinating go‑to‑market activities, training, and communication plans.
- Monitor product performance metrics, gather user feedback, and iterate to improve adoption and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with local banking regulations, data protection laws, and security standards.
- Manage product budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of FinTech trends, digital payments, and mobile banking ecosystems.
- Proven ability to translate business goals into actionable product requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and KPI tracking.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Leadership experience in cross‑functional, agile environments.
- Knowledge of Cameroonian banking regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Fluency in English and French; local language proficiency is a plus.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, PMP) are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of product management experience, with at least two years focused on FinTech or digital banking products. Demonstrated success in launching and scaling digital financial services in emerging markets is preferred.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and profit‑sharing opportunities are also available.
