Job Overview

The Digital Payments Product Manager will lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of Ecobank’s digital payment products, from ideation and design to launch and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Head of Digital Banking, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including technology, risk, compliance, marketing, and operations—to develop innovative solutions that align with market needs and regulatory standards. This position plays a pivotal role in strengthening Ecobank’s competitive edge in the rapidly evolving fintech landscape, ensuring the bank remains a top choice for customers seeking modern payment experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital payment solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer interviews to identify opportunities and pain points.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
• Manage product backlog, prioritize features, and oversee agile development cycles.
• Work closely with compliance and risk teams to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and security standards.
• Develop go‑to‑market strategies, pricing models, and promotional plans in partnership with marketing.
• Monitor product performance metrics, analyze data, and implement enhancements to improve user adoption and satisfaction.
• Provide training and support to sales and customer service teams on product features and benefits.
• Represent Ecobank at industry conferences, fintech events, and stakeholder meetings to promote the brand and gather insights.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Deep understanding of digital payment ecosystems, mobile money, and fintech trends.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, FinTech Certificate) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.

Experience

Minimum of five years of product management experience, preferably within digital payments, fintech, or banking environments. Demonstrated success in launching and scaling digital financial products in emerging markets is essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 1,500,000 to 2,500,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
