Job Overview

The Head of Renewable Energy Project Finance will lead the financial structuring, funding, and risk management of ENI’s renewable energy portfolio in Cameroon. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will be responsible for developing robust financial models, negotiating with investors and lenders, and ensuring compliance with international financing standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain detailed financial models for solar, wind, and hydro projects.
  • Lead negotiations with banks, development finance institutions, and private equity partners to secure project financing.
  • Conduct due diligence, risk assessments, and sensitivity analyses to support investment decisions.
  • Coordinate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with Cameroonian and international financing regulations.
  • Prepare and present investment memoranda and board reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project cash flows, covenant compliance, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior finance analysts and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department.

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, PPAs, and power purchase agreements.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership experience with proven team development skills.

Education

A Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are highly desirable and will be considered an asset.

Experience

Minimum of ten years of experience in project finance, preferably within the renewable energy sector, with a track record of successfully closing large‑scale financing transactions. Experience working with international financial institutions and familiarity with Cameroonian energy regulations are essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 4,000,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and other incentives aligned with ENI’s strategic goals.
