Job Overview

We are seeking a Sustainable Livestock Specialist to join our team in Buea, Cameroon. The successful candidate will work closely with our livestock development team to design and implement sustainable livestock programs that improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.

The Sustainable Livestock Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance to farmers, conducting training and capacity-building programs, and collaborating with local partners to promote sustainable livestock practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sustainable livestock programs that improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers
  • Provide technical assistance to farmers on sustainable livestock practices
  • Conduct training and capacity-building programs for farmers and local partners
  • Collaborate with local partners to promote sustainable livestock practices
  • Monitor and evaluate program impact and make recommendations for improvement

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, agriculture, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in sustainable livestock development
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable livestock practices and animal health
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with local partners
