We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our specialized field service team in Bertoua. Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on high-end medical imaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical failures in diagnostic systems.
- Install and calibrate new medical devices to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Provide technical training to hospital staff on the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Maintain detailed service reports and documentation for all technical interventions.
- Collaborate with the regional logistics team to manage spare parts inventory.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in electrical and electronic circuit troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of medical imaging modalities (MRI, CT, X-Ray).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with medical professionals and stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical schematics and blueprints.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate a deep understanding of medical device safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Experience
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in field service engineering, specifically with medical diagnostic equipment, is required. Proven experience in the African healthcare technology sector is highly advantageous.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 750,000 SSP, depending on technical certifications and experience level.
