Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydrology Research Scientist to join our regional research initiative in Maroua. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive field surveys to monitor groundwater levels and surface water flow patterns.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and remote sensing software.

• Exceptional technical writing skills for scientific reporting.
• Ability to work effectively in remote and challenging field environments.
• Fluency in both French and English is highly preferred.

Education

A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required. A PhD in a specialized hydrological field is considered a significant advantage for this position.

Experience

Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in hydrological research, preferably within the African context. Proven experience in managing large-scale environmental datasets and leading field-based research projects is essential.
