Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN solutions to protect network perimeter.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis on telecom assets.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and lead incident response activities to mitigate threats.
  • Collaborate with network engineering, operations, and product teams to integrate security controls into new deployments.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior security staff and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of security architectures, configurations, and incident reports.
  • Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, regulatory changes, and technology trends relevant to telecommunications.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, MPLS) and telecom equipment.
  • Hands‑on experience with security tools such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Cisco ASA.
  • Proficiency in security monitoring platforms (SIEM, IDS/IPS) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, and local data protection regulations.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills in French and English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or CEH are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
