Job Overview
Siemens Cameroon seeks an Industrial Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automation systems for manufacturing clients. Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure industrial automation systems using PLCs, SCADA, and HMI technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions with existing manufacturing processes
- Conduct site assessments and provide technical support for system installation and commissioning
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (ISO 23247, IEC 61508) and Siemens quality protocols
- Provide training to clients on system operation and maintenance
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, STEP 7, and WinCC
- Experience with industrial robotics and motion control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control systems
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex automation challenges
- Fluency in English and French (preferred)
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automation Technology
- Certifications in industrial automation (e.g., Siemens Certified Engineer) are advantageous
Experience
- 3-5 years in industrial automation projects, preferably in manufacturing or energy sectors
- Proven track record in system design and implementation
Salary
1,500,000 – 2,500,000 XAF per month, commensurate with experience and technical expertise.
