Job Description

Role Overview

The Refrigeration & Industrial Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing cold chain infrastructure, refrigeration systems, and industrial equipment that support Congelcam’s storage and distribution network. You will ensure reliable operation of refrigeration machinery, prevent production and storage downtime, and improve the efficiency of energy‑intensive systems.

Key Responsibilities
Cold Chain & Refrigeration Systems

Oversee installation, calibration, and maintenance of industrial refrigeration units in cold storage facilities.

Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize mechanical and electrical components of freezers, condensers, compressors, and cooling control systems.

Monitor temperature control systems to ensure consistent compliance with product safety standards.

Preventive Maintenance & Reliability

Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all critical plant machinery.

Perform diagnostics and corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime and reduce operational losses.

Record and analyze maintenance reports, failure trends, and system performance metrics.

Energy Efficiency & Compliance

Evaluate energy consumption and recommend improvements for efficient operation of refrigeration plants and chillers.

Ensure systems comply with health, safety, and industry standards for perishable product storage.

Maintain documentation related to safety protocols, equipment manuals, and regulatory compliance.

Technical Support & Coordination

Work with logistics teams, warehouse operations, and external contractors on equipment upgrades or emergency repairs.

Provide technical support to operations staff on best practices for handling industrial refrigeration systems.

Coordinate with electrical and civil maintenance units when system issues impact broader facility operations.

Qualifications

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & HVAC Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Experience:

3–5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial refrigeration systems, cold‑storage maintenance, or heavy‑duty mechanical systems.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Experience with industrial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and compressor control.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and schematics.

Knowledge of temperature control systems and sensors used in cold storage logistics.

Soft Skills

Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Team collaboration and coordination with facility operations.

Clear communication in written and verbal technical reporting.
